OZU Uni-Dorm 6:
‘Re-Locating Cubes’

Similar design priorities and ideas are proposed for Özyeğin University's campus, which includes dormitory buildings, a social center, housing and a guesthouse. The site has a highly sloping topography in the northwest and southeast directions.

Topography and orientation stand out as contextual priorities in the design criteria. A single controlled entrance is planned for pedestrians and vehicles.
While the social facilities are solved below ground, forming a base, the dormitory buildings start on this base and expand by breaking away from the ground, thus maximizing green space. In this way, rich common activity areas, which are needed due to the undeveloped environmental conditions, are designed on the southeast facades opening to the rich landscape.
